MORE SAN FRANCISCO VIEWS

SAN FRANCISCO travelling sickness

Some views around this lively city. Worth visiting! The famous Golden Gate Bridge is also the sister bridge to a bridge in Japan (Seto O Hashi Bridge ) , so this means I travel far and wide only to find a sister bridge OF Japan!(>_<) The Sparta statue was outside a shop so I grabbed the opportunity to be snapped next to him. The next picture is SF city somewhere near Columbus St. at night. Pier 39 is famous for its sealions (stinkin sealions) and Alcatraz which is very close the Pier. You can see Alcatraz in the background. Fifth Avenue in SF - where the cheerfully lit xmas tree and buildings can be seen. Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, which is designed after the Kew Garden in London. Also since I was sick, I didn't realise I was near to the Garden of Shakespeare's Flowers: built to honor the plants and flowers mentioned in the Shakespeare's poems and plays. There are about 150-odd specimens of the flowers. There is also a Japanese Garden but thank God we couldn't find it as there was no friggin map anywhere! In the last two pics - Alamo Square is where FULLHOUSE the sitcom's row of houses were filmed!

Reno cruising

So these are some of the photos taken in Reno, Nevada. I was next to this dinosour fossil in University of Nevada at Reno Museum. Apparently this is a pleisiosaurus fossil (http://zoxaeus.com/ZTForums/index.php?showtopic=3500). Also that is the UNR logo.
Kinda weird having all those acres and acres of flat lands (read desert) all around you. Reno the city is full of casinos, and on New Year's eve, as this photo was taken by Garth, some crazy loon stepped right behind me and his photo was snapped too! It was lame! The Nugget is yet another casino I guess. All that glitters, apparently... ain't gold aye.
